About the event
NANCY NUTALL AND THE MONGREL
By Dame Catherine Cookson. A new stage adaptation by Craig Wilde and Jamie Brown.
When Nancy Nutall meets a scruffy, lovable mongrel, she has no idea her life is about to turn upside down. Together they'll find mischief, friendship and an adventure bigger than either of them.
Catherine Cookson wrote stories for young readers as well as the novels that made her famous, and this delightful tale has now been reimagined as a brand-new family show. Expect catchy songs, plenty of laughs, a superb cast, and a spectacular puppet who is sure to steal your heart.
The adaptation is by Craig Wilde, creator of the long-running Dickens by Candlelight and author of the Tip Top children's books, and Jamie Brown, writer, producer and Festival Director. At just one hour, it's the perfect first trip to the theatre for younger audiences, and a treat for grown-ups…
