Assembly Box Office – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to tickets purchased through Assembly Box Office Limited, the official box office partner of Newcastle Assembly Rooms 1776 CIC. Events are promoted by Assembly Rooms Newcastle in partnership with Assembly Box Office Ltd and external producers.

By purchasing a ticket through Assembly Box Office Limited you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Assembly Box Office Limited operates the ticketing services for events at Newcastle Assembly Rooms 1776 CIC and associated productions and events.

1. Ticket Purchase

1.1
Tickets purchased through Assembly Box Office Limited are issued subject to these Terms and Conditions and the rules of the venue hosting the event.

1.2
Only tickets purchased through Assembly Box Office Limited or authorised ticketing partners are valid for admission.

1.3
Tickets purchased through unauthorised third parties, resale platforms or auction sites may be invalid and entry may be refused.

1.4
Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person for certain events. Assembly Box Office Limited reserves the right to cancel bookings exceeding these limits.

1.5
Each attendee must hold a valid ticket unless otherwise stated.

1.6
Children aged 14 years or under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

2. Refunds, Exchanges and Event Changes

2.1
Refunds, exchanges and credit policies for events sold through Assembly Box Office Limited are governed by the Assembly Box Office Refund Policy.

2.2

2.3
Event organisers and the venue reserve the right to make reasonable alterations to the advertised programme, performers, event format or running times where necessary.

3. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

3.1
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket holders will be contacted using the contact details provided at the time of booking.

3.2
The options available to ticket holders in these circumstances are outlined in the separate Refund Policy.

4. Admission and Attendance

4.1
The venue reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

4.2
Latecomers may be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.

4.3
For security reasons, bags and personal belongings may be searched as a condition of entry.

4.4
Food and drink may not be brought into the venue unless otherwise permitted.

4.5
Smoking, including vaping and the use of e-cigarettes, is prohibited inside the building.

4.6
Mobile phones and electronic devices must be silenced during performances.

5. Behaviour and Respect for Staff

5.1
Assembly Rooms staff and event staff are committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors.

5.2
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour towards staff, performers or other guests will not be tolerated.

5.3
Anyone engaging in such behaviour may be removed from the venue without refund.

5.4
If you witness behaviour that is intimidating, aggressive or unsafe, please inform a member of staff.

6. Photography, Filming and Recording

6.1
Photography, filming or audio recording may be prohibited at certain events.

6.2
Please follow instructions given by venue staff or event organisers regarding recording devices.

6.3
Professional cameras, recording equipment or devices with detachable lenses may not be permitted without prior authorisation.

6.4
Events may be photographed or filmed by the venue or event organisers.

6.5
By attending an event you consent to being included in photographs or recordings which may be used for promotional, archival or commercial purposes.

7. Safety and Security

7.1
The venue may introduce additional safety measures where required by law, government guidance or venue risk assessment.

7.2
Visitors must comply with any safety instructions issued by venue staff.

7.3
CCTV operates within the venue for the purposes of safety and crime prevention.

8. Personal Property

8.1
Assembly Box Office Limited and Newcastle Assembly Rooms accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought to the venue.

8.2
Visitors are advised not to leave valuables unattended.

9. Data Protection

9.1
Personal data collected during the ticket purchasing process will be processed in accordance with the Assembly Rooms Privacy Policy.

10. Events Beyond Our Control

10.1
Assembly Box Office Limited and the venue will not be liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • severe weather

  • strikes or industrial action

  • failure of transport or utilities

  • acts of terrorism or civil unrest

  • pandemics or government restrictions

  • fire, flood or other emergencies.

If you have feedback or a complaint relating to a booking or event, please contact:

11.2
Complaints will be acknowledged and investigated through the venue’s internal complaints procedure.

12. Amendments

12.1
Assembly Box Office Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

12.2
Any amendments will take effect immediately upon publication on the Assembly Rooms website.

13. Governing Law

13.1
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law.

13.2
Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
